Companies of the Core Group of SPP ensure reliable and safe natural gas supplies at all levels

SPP unbundled transmission and distribution activities (the so-called legal unbundling) on July 1, 2006. In addition to the parent company SPP there are two 100% owned subsidiaries: Eustream and SPP - distribúcia.

SPP

SPP is an energy company which directly follows upon the more than 150 year old history of the gas industry in Slovakia, focusing on trading activities in natural gas, namely its purchase, sale and storage, The mission of the company for the coming years is to strengthen its leading position in natural gas related businesses, to pursue a customer-oriented strategy, to improve the quality and extend the portfolio of products and services and to increase the added value for the benefit of our customers. SPP provides differentiated services for various customer segments, namely for key customers, for commercial accounts and municipalities and for households and retail off-take.

Eustream

The eustream, a.s company was formerly known as SPP – preprava (transport) prior to January 31, 2007. It activities as a 100 % subsidiary of SPP started on July 1, 2006 upon the legal unbundling of transmission activities from SPP. The new name – eustream – reflects that it is a “highway” for Russian natural gas to European markets and that it is the main player in the European transmission business and thereby also a good “Ambassador of Slovakia”.

Eustream company is the largest natural gas transporter within the EU. Its transmission system is made up of 2,270 km of gas pipelines with four compressor stations in Veľké Kapušany, Jablonov nad Turňou, Veľké Zlievce and Ivanka pri Nitre). Everyday operation of the transmission system is managed from a Dispatch Centre in Nitra.

SPP - distribúcia

SPP - distribúcia, a.s. company started on July 1, 2006 as a 100 % subsidiary of SPP upon legal unbundling of all activities related to distribution of natural gas and unbundling of all distribution assets The company ensures reliable and effective natural gas distribution to around 1.5 million off-takers in Slovakia. The Slovak gas industry dispatching ensures management of the distribution system (with more than 31,000 km of gas pipelines) from its dispatch centre in Bratislava and four monitoring centres in Bratislava, Žilina, Zvolen and Košice.
